CBS Adult Education Programs
Winter 2010

Our vision is to create an interactive learning community at Congregation Bonai Shalom.  By combining the traditional Beit Midrash (House of Study) style of learning with a modern approach, we aim to open up the classical texts in a way that engages the mind, heart, and soul.  We are also striving to provide a broad range of classes to reflect the diverse interests of our community. 

 

Talmud Lunch and Learn

Instructor: Rabbi Marc

Brown bag it kosher-style as we continue our studies of Tractate Megillah in the Talmud.  Newcomers welcome.

Thursdays from 12:00-1:00pm

 

Conversational Hebrew

Instructor: Ayelet Zur

This class builds on reading skills and introduces vocabulary and conversation in Hebrew with a very experienced native Israeli Hebrew teacher.

Mondays from 6:30-7:30pm
Fee: free for members; $10 per class for non-members (plus cost of book)
 

Adult B’nei Mitzvah Class

Instructors: Rabbi Marc and Froma Fallik

Adult B'nei Mitzvah class starting in February.  This class requires a two-year commitment and culminates in each student's becoming a bar or bat mitzvah and is open to Member of CBS Only.
