July 19, 2010, 8:30 – 10:00pm. Ma’ariv service, followed by the reading of Eicha (The Book of Lamentations) and traditional and contemporary reflections on this day of mourning and loss
July 20, 2010, 7:00 – 8:00am. Shacharit service, followed by some readings, discussions and songs on the themes of this day of Tisha B'Av. It is traditional not to wear tallit and tefillin this morning, but to wear it for the first time at the afternoon Mincha service.
July 20, 2010, 7:30 – 9:00pm: Mincha and Ma’ariv (afternoon and evening) services, with special Torah readings for Tisha B'Av.
It is traditional to wear our tallit and tefillin for the first time on Tisha b’Av at the Mincha service.
