Committees at Bonai

Tikkun Olam (Social Action) Committee

The Tikkun Olam Committee identifies, supports, and publicizes projects and activities that will allow congregants to participate in Tikkun Olam with a sense of connection to Jewish tradition and teachings. These projects will focus on safeguarding against threats to life, the earth, freedom, human rights, human dignity, peace, and justice.

Chesed

Chesed is a volunteer and community run program that offers support to community members following birth/adoption, surgery/illness, death, and other life-impacting events. If you are interested in learning more about how you can volunteer please contact Chesed@bonaishalom.org

Adult Education

Congregation Bonai Shalom cultivates a strong Jewish identity and life-long learning through community participation in an environment that celebrates diversity and promotes spiritual, ethical, and social growth in each individual. These opportunities can deepen our connections with our traditions, language, community and core values.

Inclusion Committee

Bonai Shalom established an Inclusion Committee in 2013 to focus on ensuring that we are accessible to people with varying abilities, that we are welcoming to all, and that we welcome diversity and the LGBTQ community.

Green Team

The Bonai Shalom Green Team supports and celebrates a culture of sustainability at Bonai Shalom. We work towards making the “green” decision the default choice culturally and institutionally in all aspects of synagogue life.
