The exodus from Egypt is central to Jewish theology, our great liberation experience. In this two part class we will unpack some key kabbalistic understandings of the exodus: How can we use speech and sound to initiate redemption? How can we eat in such a way as to lead to liberation rather than enslavement? What does it mean to clear out the leaven from our lives? What is the Seder really trying to enact? Come find out, as we study texts from the Sefer Yetzirah, the Zohar and contemporary mystical commentators.
