The Boulder-Ramat HaNegev Sister City Initiative will celebrate its first anniversary and the recent signing of documents by the Mayors of each community, officially linking the two municipalities, with a fundraiser to be held at 2 pm on November 10. The Initiative is raising funds for its first project: helping Ramat HaNegev’s Search and Rescue team raise funds to enable them to purchase critical equipment and build a central facility, to better serve the growing number of people who visit the region. The RNH Search and Rescue Team is composed of volunteers who give up their personal time to help people in extreme need. The RHN team has previously worked with Boulder’s Rocky Mountain Search and Rescue Group, and the Sister City Initiative is excited to have rekindled this relationship, providing opportunities to develop best practices for search and rescue in Ramat HaNegev.  RSVP’s are requested, and can be sent to alexis.adler@bouldernegev.org. The location of the event will be furnished upon receipt of an individual’s RSVP.
