Friends, I am very sad to inform you of the death on Tuesday afternoon of my good friend David Greenwald, who passed away peacefully from cancer. He will be greatly missed by many!
Dave was born on June 27th, 1965, in the Bronx New York and died in Colorado on 3/11/25. His Hebrew name is Eliyahu Sar ben Zvi Hersh Zangwill u'Perel Rachel Manya.
There will be graveside funeral at 10am on Thursday, March 13th, at Mountain View Memorial Park, Kalmia Ave, followed by a gathering at David’s home, 11072 Zephyr Street, Westminster 80021
David was adored by so many and is mourned by brother Mitch (Ellen) and nieces Sara and Victoria; sister Laura (Frank) Crisafi and nephews Shmuel and Rafi; and his step-mom Maris. His partner of many years, Angie Gaumond, lovingly took care of him throughout his illness. Their dog, Lelo, never left his side.
David was involved in many parts of Boulder’s Jewish community including Aish Kodesh, Bonai Shalom, and Chabad, and had many, many close friends who cared deeply about him. He was an esteemed and beloved Elementary School teacher for over 30 years. David was an avid guitarist and mountain biker, loved the Grateful Dead and saw over 50 live shows.
